Valentine and I are travelling for a week with my husband in rural areas to see how both Val and I cope post cancer treatment. When booking I politely asked for the dates and said that I was travelling with my dog who is training to be an assistance dog. Only 1 of 6 motels where I booked said that they would need to check with management, I just thanked them for their time and moved on. The motels who were welcoming to us were: Glenmore Palms Rockhampton, Koorawatha Motel Boronen, Motel Maclean Maclean, Macksville Mandarin Motel, and Motel 707 Emerald. Motel 707 put us into a room at the back of motel because it is closest to a dog park so Val can have a run around. Everyone was very obliging. I will let you know late March how our trip goes.
